Can't delete files from DVD.

Can't delete files from DVD.

lo^^; All.

I have Maxel DVD+RW discs. Everytime I burn files onto them, it will not let me delete them off the disk. This is with many of my DVD+RW's and the message I get when I try to delete the files off them are "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have suffient privalleges for 'name of file'" Any help would be appriciated.

iMac G5 17" PowerPC Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Hi, Sukisa.

You can't delete (trash) files from a CD-RW or DVD±RW. They're not like magnetic media. Once you've burned these rewritable discs, the only way to change their contents is to erase the entire disk and burn them again. See "Disk Utility 10.5 Help: Erasing a CD-RW or DVD-RW disc."
