My ipod touch keeps turning off and on. The apple logo appears a while then it turn off and on again

I tried to put it on recovery mode but it doesnt work either. Before that, I tried to reset it using the reset options in the settings. Please reply as soon as possible

Hold the home button and the on/off/sleep button for at least 20 seconds. You will probably see it turn on and off one or two times. But, eventually you will put it in recovery mode (shows a USB cable connection and an Itunes logo. Connect to Itunes. It will take a minute, but it will come back and tell you the Ipod is in recovery mode. You can then do a restore at that point. It will lose all its data, but you can recover and get the Ipod back to life.


The key is holding those buttons a long time (not 10 seconds - but much longer).
