find and replace cells with formatting

Hi forum,

In my Numbers '09 sheet I have hundreds of (empty) cells with different background colors. I want to replace the (empty) content of these cells with some text. This text will be the same for all these cells.

Is this possible without looking for them manually?

Hi Jerry,

Sorting on a single does not word, since there are also empty cells which do not need to be edited (those with a white background).

I tried importing the sheet into a Pages table, since I remember in Pages it is easier to find and replace on formatting. However, I cannot find a way to import a Numbers sheet into a Pages table.

Hi Jerrold

Even with a script it would be awful.

There is no way to get the cell's background color with standard AppleScript.

To achieve the wanted goal it would be necessary to use an awful piece of code which I posted some weeks ago in :
