I receive DAILY emails about how to reset my Apple ID password even though I have not requested a password reset. I am beginning to suspect foul play. The email from Apple says I should not worry - someone just probably mis-typed their email address, but, seriously, every day? Any suggestions?
Sounds like you have subscribed to a topic here and you're getting e-mails every time someone replies. At the top of these forums, click Your Stuff, then Notifications, and delete anything there. Then go to Your Stuff -> Preferences and select Email Notification Preferences. Set everything there to No and save the changes.

Is the email from something like appleID at apple.com or similar? I was just reminded (in another forum) about a phishing scam that has been making the rounds trying to get you to reveal your ID. Most places (and I would certainly think that includes Apple) will never ask you to verify anything via email. If you haven't requested it or actually did something to change it, I would simply ignore the emails and mark them as spam.
I really need to get past the headlines! Got so use to all the 'Can't stop emails from here' threads that when I saw Unwanted Email in the title I jumped.

My wife keeps getting these randomly every few days. She reset her password in the end (not using a link just in case) but still keeps getting them. Sort it out Apple - there's obviously something going on here and it needs fixing.
I've started reporting them (on her behalf) as spam now - maybe that will help move Apple along a little...
