See Here... in particular #3...
Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
Also, Try a Reset...you will not lose any data or settings...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
yeah sorry but that dosnt work
... it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
Ok well I didn't need an update it just declining my visa.
HERE IS YOUR FIX. This has been a thorn in my side as well. This is what you must do: take an app, it can be any app, (prefferrably free) and delete it from your ipod then go immediately to the app store icon. Find the app you just deleted, and reinstall it. You don't have to do it with all of your apps. Just doing this with one app causes all the others to resume working perfectly. Unfortunately I've had to do this several times in the last 2 months. Don't ask me why this works, but it does. Thats just computers. Hopefully this will reach people, because there are a million posts with this issue. Good Luck!!!
press ur home button 2times close all running apps in the backround.
after all apps are closed press and hold both power and home buttons 30secs when the apple logo shows let go both buttons allow the ipod to reboot
after its rebboted try open one of u apps that keeps closeing when u open it
if its still doing this check u have at leats 3gb memory on the device and try the app again
@jdgc
THANK YOU
my ipod was doing the same thing, and this fixed everything!!
I found that if you synced to a computer and a window popped up that said "cannot sync apps (whatever) because you are not authorized" or something like that would cause this to happen. What jdgc said fixed it, but it'd be easier if it didn't do it in the first place.
resync on computer or simply download a free app
Hey, i downloaded an emulator from the internet and it does open, but when i try to open the ROM in the emulator, the app shuts down. i tryed all of the methods from the other posts and even some from other threads but a few of them actually made it even worse and i couldnt even open the app!!! what can i do to solve this problem? Please help!
😕
Everybody just listen to jdgc, delete 1 app, now re-download it. Done, it fixed my problem.
Btw, this problem affects only apps that weren't installed on your device when you got it.
iMovie even didn't open and thats an apple application 😟
But now its fixed -thank you people
That potential solution is one of the actions specified in the the link in the first reply in this discussion:
Install another app from the App Store
If your installed app won't open, download and install a free app that isn't on your iOS device. This should reset your Apple ID authorization.
Remember to use the same Apple ID that you used to download the app that you're having issues with.

My iphone 5s has this problem too. I've tried lots of methods already. Uninstall and reinstall, close all apps and reboot, download a new free app, it doesn't work! is there any other solutions?
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
