baseball icon at the top of my new mail

baseball icon at the top of my new mail

when we open a new mail, a litle baseball icon shows up in the upper right hand of my new mail message...it doesnt seem to go with the mail (sent to my husbands work computer and it's clean)

anyone ever see this before?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.2.x)

This was chosen at System Preferences > Accounts under the Picture tab for your computer/login account preferences.

To remove it, select your contact information in the Address Book application. Select Edit to edit your contact information, select the "Me" picture next to your name and then select the Delete key.

Remember that user icon you chose—or someone chose for you—when your user account was created? That's the source of the icon. It is not being transmitted to those who receive messages that you originate.

If you want to change this user icon, launch the Systems Preferences application, press the Accounts icon and then the Pictures tab. Choose another from the scrollable list on the right, or add one using the Edit… button. As it says beneath the window, the "…selected picture will be used when logging in, in the 'My Card' in Address Book and as the default picture in iChat."
