User change password on Snow leopard server

May be my questions sounds stupid

- On a Snow Leopard Server I have the option activated, that users might change their password

- But I do not know where/how the user can do this on his Computer ..

Where is the GUI, the "entry point" where a client changes his password on the server? (Clients: OSX5, 6 and 7)

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hi

Assuming a correctly configured DNS Service and you have the Web Service running, launch any browser you like (Safari, Chrome, IE etc) and for the url use:

http://yourserver.yourdomain.com

Click the appropriate link at the bottom of the page. Alternatively you could use this url instead:

http://yourserver.yourdomain.com/changepassword

The above assumes port 80. If you've decided to use certificates (SSL port 443) change http to https.

HTH?

Or if Antonio Rocco's assumption that this is the web-facing interface that you're asking about is incorrect, then the following is the (other) GUI path...

Assuming that you have correct DNS services (things go wacky if local DNS is not established and not correct) and if the Mac clients are bound to the Open Directory server running on your server (single sign-on, sharing a password across all of the boxes in your network), then your clients can change their server password in System Preferences > Users & Groups
