iPhone/iTunes syncing

Hi, I recently uploaded all my music to iCloud. Since then I have noticed that my iPhone does not sync properly with iTunes as the "last played" data is poorly updated. For instance I play a song an album on my iPhone and after syncing, there is no update on iTunes. Also I have played songs on iTunes where the "last played" data was updated, but some of it disappeared after syncing.

This is a pain as some of my playlists depend on this data. Any suggestions....?
