How do I save voice memos that were sent to me in a text message?

I was wondering if there was a way to save voice memos that were sent to me in a text message? If not, is there a way to copy them so I can forward them? Whenever I try and copy the message it just copies the text "memo".

I'm not sure if you ever received an answer for this, but the best and easiest way is to forward the MMS with the voice message to an e-mail address that isn't associated with a Messages account (your work e-mail possibly?). Click edit at the top of the messages window, check the bubble to the left of the memo, click Forward at the bottom. In the new message, choose an e-mail address. If that e-mail address turns blue, that means it is going to go as an iMessage and you are still not going to have it outside of messaging.

The file will show up in the e-mail box as a .wav file. Hurray!

If you have the iPhone 5 or newer with iOS7, your phone now has airdrop. If you click on the Voice Memo, that was sent as a text message, and airdrop it to a friend, it will save in their voice memos. They can now, go to their voice memos and airdrop the voice memo back to you, and it will go to your voice memos. I know, very complicated and it would be great if Apple could make this easier. At work, for whatever reason, we make really funny voice memos. The only way for everyone to keep a copy on there phone is if it's shared via airdrop.
