Error 9 on iPhone 4s (iTunes 10.5.3)

Connected my most recently purchased iPhone 4s to iTunes. Accidentally, iPhone was disconnected from MacBook during the process of transferring purchases. iTunes then required to restore the phone

However, all attempts to restore iPhone almost immediately led to Error 9 message. I have tried everything advised by Apple (see below) but all in vain.

The situation is complicated by the fact that the nearest Apple Store is 2 th.km from where I live

What can be done to resolve this issue? Would highly apprecite any advice!

Error 9: This error occurs when the device unexpectedly drops off the USB bus and communication stops. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB isolation troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
