Q: Cannot clear Facetime's "red dot" of missed calls. Help!

My Facetime app on my MacBook Pro refuses to clear it's "red dot" of missed calls. I've missed one call, about a week ago. I've loaded the app, I've cleared my recent calls list, but I'm unsure what more I can do to properly fix this. It's grown in annoyance. Anyone have any suggestions?

I deleted two very old calls, and the number disappeared - until I rebooted and the number came back. There are no more calls to delete.

Deleting the two plists and rebooting didn't help me.

Mine has had (1) for a couple of weeks, now it just incremented to (2). I haven't had any facetime calls, and opening it shows no evidence of any calls.

Hi ringing the missed caller back solved this problem for me, also deleted it off list first.
