How can I remove unwanted pop-up after I have already blocked the website?

Hello everyone. I was wondering if I could please get some advise as to how to remove unwanted pop-ups. My operating system is Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549). I first encountered this problem after allowing people to use my MacBook at a party. Maybe I should also setup a guest login as well. This is my first MacBook, so I'm not all that Mac-savy. Any advise would be much appreciated. Have a nice day!

In Safari (if that's what you're using) go to Safari > Preferences > Security

and click on the 'show cookies' button;

In the next window, choose "Remove All".

Then go to the database storage setting (below the cookies button) and set it to "None". Then click "show databases" and in that window also choose "Remove All".

Next go to System Preferences > Other (that's the bottom row) > Flash Player > Storage tab.

Select to block all sites from storing information.

Select "Local Storage Settings By Site"

If there are any in there, click the "delete all" button.

That should get rid of the sources of most persistent links/cookies.

And yes - use a Guest account for your friends to surf dodgy sites.
