Q: Downloading video to FCP from Sony Handycam

Hi I can't download video from a Sony HandyCam DCR-94E to my Macbook pro onto FCP X via Firewire IEEE4/9 pin cable. Is it likely to be a problem with the camera, the cable, FCP or the Macbook? The camera itself does not show up on the Mac anywhere

Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

It is a bit difficult to understand your problem. This is what you are doing: You try to import from from your camera directdiect into to FCPX. What error message do you get or does FCPX not see your camera at all ?
