what does the box and arrow up icon do ? and how to remove it ?

Archive mail. Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your Account>Archive Messages>On/Off.

i have a mobileme account so there is no archive , what to do ?
Then it means move to a folder.
how can i remove it ?
