iPhone songs not in alphabetical order

I just got an iPhone 4s (iOS 5.01) and this is the first music sync I made with it. When I checked my iPhone music app, the songs came out of order as seen in the screenshots attached. Why are they out of order? I tried turning off my phone, switching the "group by album artist" setting on and off, and I tried resycning so many times. I'm very frustrated with this and I'm about to put a whole through my computer. User uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file

As you can see, the songs don't go in the right letter category. It's only for the songs I recently added, in the screenshots they are "Face Down" "Birds Flying High" and "How Come." As in, how come this doesn't work? Thanks for the help.

There're a few ways to organise the music, my manually manage is off and I've create a playlist for syncing with my iPhone. It serves me well.

I also have in iTunes menu File > Library > Organize Library.... > Consolidate files done.

This will index the music, update the database and copy all the music to one place (Music groups/Albums/songs) also makes it easier to backup or move.

I will suggest you delete all the music from iPhone and then create a playlist in iTunes like I do and sync.

I have the same problem. As fig. 1 shows, songs starting with T-K-L-T-L-T (in this order), are listed under the letter "S". I tought that the iOS update would correct that, but fig. 2 shows that it hasn't.

I have spent a lot of time filling correctly all fields in the ID3 tags, so I'm confident that there are no "hidden values" that would cause this disorder.

As OP said, this seems to be a bug since iOS 5, because I remember having no problem with these before. And as for what eunyuli said, doing that would order the songs on itunes, but not on the iphone.

It's useless trying to look for a song on my song list, because you won't find it where it should be.

I can hear Apple's solution now, "You're searching it wrong". I can't believe they can't get a simple thing such as this right. Maybe they're busy suing everyone in the world.

GOT THE FIX.

I have called numerous times and the engineers now know about this- i am running ios 7.0.2 and newest itunes

this does not matter as much but its part of original problem but I bet FIX is on way.

here is a semi-annoying but easy fix.

First off- back up phone and get it where ya like it.

next step- ERASE all music off of it. Turn off the icloud so it does not download again- take it all off.

sync your phone with it all off and no music added.

turn it off

turn it back on and just add back all the music playlists you had-

it will fix it- WORKS everytime. Its a pain to do- can take 15-20 minutes depending on library. Took me 18 minutes all total and I have 5000 songs.

Best i got for now but at least i can find my songs using the arabic alphabet again and not random hodgepodge
