It works for me and that's why I posted it for others, because I spend quite some time to find the solution as it happpens to me! Too bad, it doesn't work for you! And I don't think it's impolite to ask for a 'Like' but you ought to have your opinion though and you don't have to 'Like' it either!! Have a Good Day to you and thanks for giving me some feeback! 😀

By the way, I understand your question, I did post the answer a bit wrongly since this question is specifically for Safari users or Mozilla users.

For Safari users, I know how to fix it:

Open the Safari browser, from the top menu -> choose Safari-> then select Preference, then on General sub-menu-> change the Homepage to be http://www.apple.com if you prefer to open www.apple.com website everytime you opens your Safari browser, or you can choose any other website to open, just not genieo one! 😀

Hope this helps! 😀

Except that I don't think it really did. If you check the Adware Removal Guide : Genieo you'll almost certainly find one or more of these files still there.

As far as others are concerned, they are long gone. This conversation is over two years old, so I'm sure mehrnoosh7 solved it long ago.

Except it didn't actually work. You only think it did, because the symptoms are gone. However, the most dangerous components - the ones that can prevent your computer from starting up properly - are still present. Follow the instructions MadMacs0 has directed you to, and please don't re-post inappropriate instructions again!

The hosts here frown on any attempt to ask for points (ie, asking the original poster to mark your post as "helpful" or "solved"). Asking for a "Like" is evidently similarly frowned on, as the hosts have censored your post. These are rules we all must obey here, and are not matters of opinion or politeness.
