Q: SuperDrive Firmware Update 3.0

My MacBook is running 10.6.8 and the model is MacBook5,2.

I'm trying to install SuperDrive Firmware Update 3.0, but it doesn't work. I have also considered the following link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3626

I don't have the Restore DVD that came with my MacBook anymore.

    What does this mean ‘try to install but does not work’? clarify it. If a firmware update is not for your mac it will not install, you will see a message saying that you do not need it. What did you do and what do you see on screen when attempting to do this?

    Did you carefully read the instructions? a firmware update should NEVER be interrupted. Are you sure you did not do it before? A firmware update is done ONCE and for ever in mac’s life.
