Yes FaceTime is possible between iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 (iPad 1 does not have a front facing camera so no dice) and Mac.

Setting up FaceTime is easy with iPhone 4/4S, make sure:

1) In iPhone's Settings > FaceTime > FaceTime is ON.

2) Also in Settings > General > Restrictions is OFF.

It's done.

Setting up FaceTime in iPad2 needs a bit more work :

A) You need a valid e-mail address for your daughter (not the one you are using in your iPhone)

(Free e-mail account from Google's GMail, Yahoo's Yahoo mail or Microsoft's Hotmail can be used if you don't have any other)

B) You need an Apple ID. Use the link below to create one with the new e-mail in Step A.

https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/

C) After Apple has verified the e-mail account,

go to iPad's Settings > FaceTime > click Use your Apple ID for FaceTime and put the new Apple ID in.

D) Check the settings, other than the new Apple ID, it should be the same as iPhone above.

After you got all that, create a contact in iPhone's Contacts app with the details of iPad2 owner (your daughter)

What's important is the new verified e-mail address for your daughter.

Now you can FaceTime using the Contacts app by tapping the FaceTime button in your daughter contact details.

Hope that helps.
