I have an iPhone 4S and I was wondering what it means by global ready. I'm going to India soon and I was thinking that since it's a world phone, would it need to be unlocked to work there??/ Thanks for your help. 🙂

So Verizon is a CDMA network provider so I have to unlock it to get it to work there right?

If you want to access GSM networks in another country without international roaming thru Verizon, you need to ask Verizon to unlock the GSM portion of your iPhone. This will not allow you to use the iPhone with AT&T or T-Mobile in the U.S.
