I have a MBP and a iMAC with Lion 10.7.2.
Is there anyway to turn off the authenticate box? I'm tired of having to enter my password every single time I want to install a new program or delete files on my own computer. It's very annoying.

It's called security, and possibly the number 1 reason that Mac OS X is more secure than many other OSes.
If you can't install software or delete crotocal files then neither can any malicious software.
Your question does surprise me, though. What are you doing that prompts for authentication so frequently?
i should still have the option to turn it off.
nothing abnormal, just installing apps and uninstalling them, changing settings in system preferences.
How do I turn off authenticate?
