Any ideas if the enxt gen of Apple TV will support full HD 1080p and if it will have on device storage like the first generation?

Nope - just fellow users here - we have no idea if there'll be an AppleTV3 let alone what it will do.
If those features are important to you, many have setup a Mac Mini with Equinux MediaCentral, or similar device as their media center. There are probably other similar software as well.
i see if you have an ipad2 you can set mirroring option
