Q: have a smear on screen but wont come off??

what have you done to try and remove it?  Have you followed these instructions? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3226.  Do you know how the smear got on your screen?

if it is in the shape of the apple, that is from excessive pressure of the top of the lid and the image is "burned" into the screen, and is not covered by Apple's warranty.  That can only be fixed by getting a new screen (I'm not sure how much it would cost).
