Mac OS 9.2.2 installation on a Tibook Model #A1001

I wonder if you could provise some advise as to where can I purchase a Mac OS 9.2.2 installation disc for this machine.

Well, Apple doesn't have them anymore, so you can't get the original install discs from them. But whomever you bought it from should have included those, so you should go back to them for those. If they lost them or destroyed them, then your best source is Craiglist or eBay.

That model PowerBook originally came with a separate OS 9.2.2 Software Install CD. You may be able to find one on Ebay, but be careful to get one specifically for your model.

Another possible source is an Apple User Group. Most large universities and cities have one.

There's a possible alternative if you can get by with running OS 9 apps in classic mode while booted into OS X.

Copy the System Folder from another Mac that has OS 9.2.2 installed. A USB thumb dive works great for this. Transfer the folder to your Mac. It won't interfere with your OS X system which is in a folder titled System.
