Negotiated Link Speed only 1.5Gbps for 240GB SSD on mac mini server late-2009 (Macmini3,1)?

Hi. I use Mac Mini Server late 2009 (Macmini3,1 core2duo 2,53Ghz) on osx lion 10.7.2 (Build 11C4). Everything is up to date including firmware 1.35f1.

I reset SMC as well but Negotiated Link Speed is still at 1.5Gbps instead of 3Gbps using SSD OCZ Agility 240Go (It's a SATA 3 SSD 6Gbps).

If anybody has an idea, I'd be very grateful for that.

Thank's.

Is your information from System Information utility?

For my 2011 Mini Server I get this displayed for the

controller:

Intel 6 Series Chipset:

Vendor: Intel

Product: 6 Series Chipset

Link Speed: 6 Gigabit

Negotiated Link Speed: 3 Gigabit

Description: AHCI Version 1.30 Supported

If you do the same thing, it should display the controller

Link Speed capability (in my case 6 gigabit).

You may still have some firmware issue, perhaps in

the drive or how the information is interpretted. I recall

seeing some issues on older Macs getting the type of

issue that you are seeing.

Have you tried a PRAM reset? That may help.
