My aperture library won’t merge!

I have a huge (800 gb) aperture library to which I would like to merge another rather big library (~500gb) but I am getting an error message saying my 500 gb library is still BEING EXPORTED and so it cannot be merged! But Its not being exported at all and I can easily browse the library too/ Any tips?
