Set custom resolution display

I've updated my Mac Pro (1.1) to OS X Lion 10.7.2. I'm using with the computer an acer X193HQ (18,5") display now that my 23" Cinema Display is dead. It has the native resolution 1366 x 768. OS X does recognise it as a 1360x768 display. That made everything look a little blurry.

In too many forums I've found to add at "com.apple.boot.plist" file on Library/Preferences/System Configuration:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1366x768x32@60</string>

I'm doing that and nothing happens, my display is still showing 1360x768.

I've read about SwitchResX that can solve my issue, but that app isn't working for me (It did not let me create the 1366 res.).

Is the issue on my display, that could have any known incompatibilty with OS X?

Is the issue on OS X that can't use the 1366 res?

Is a known issue with 18,5" displays?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Apple computers have there own set of resolutions that they use, so I don't think you can go anywhere with that. I've used pc monitors with macs before and my work arround was to use display preferences under color and recalibrate. Then I could use that calibration for the pc monitor. Also in looking up your monitor ,I see that there is some adjustment that can be made from the monitor control pannel. If you don't have a book for the monitor , it can be downloaded. Go to google and type in your model monitor and users manual and you'll find it.
