How to restore iMac G5 to factory setting without disc

If you actually have a G5 then you are posting on the wrong forum, this is an Intel based iMac forum. All G5's were PPC (Power PC) based. If you are not sure then click the Apple symbol in the upper left corner and choose About this Mac.


However you will need the original DVD to bring the machine back to factory settings. You may still be able to find a Leopard upgrade DVD however that will costly, my recommendation is to contact Apple and if they have originals still available you can get them for a nominal cost. You will need the serial number and a credit card.
