What rudeness?
The original poster, Marcus235 and weexoo struggled with writing their questions. Marcus235 was in fact quite imperious in his demand to have a FAST answer to his totally vague and indecipherable question.
Many visitors here do not speak English as a first language and it is a fair guess that may be the case with both the O.P. and weexoo, in which case they should use Google Translate so we can understand what exactly they are talking about, because otherwise we are just guessing.
On the other hand they may be English speakers but can not write comprehendable questions, in which case they should clarify that so again we are not left guessing.
There is not much point second guessing what people might be asking, often that can be quite arbitrary and not obvious, just as you are under the mistaken impression that you have no choice but Pages on your iPad and never thought to look for alternatives.
We put a lot of effort into giving accurate answers and testing problems, it helps the questioner to put the same thought and effort into their question. They are then more likely to get a useful answer.

Nobody in these forums can tell you why some app does not have some feature you want. To ask Apple to add that, go to
http://www.apple.com/feedback
In the meantime, use Word or some other app that does have a translation feature, or go to
http://translate.google.com

For help with Pages for iPad, you should ask in a different forum:
And there certainly is a version of Word for the iPad. But I don't know if it has translation features or not, you would have to check.
Hi,
unbelievable that nobody answers.... WORD (from f____ microsoft) propose an ption to transalet a part, of entire document, how come PAGES doe's not have any solution ????
Even if you type TRANSLATE in the Help menu in PAGES, .... Nothing.

Do you speak English?
Do we need to explain in another language?
The original question was vague and totally unclear, and the poster did not answer any questions. So we still do not know what they were actually asking.
You were offered the option of using GoogleTranslate. Why not use it?
Peter
I am surprised to find such rudeness on Apple forum, perhaps the writer needs comprehension classes.
I cannot, or at least do not know how to swap to Word because I am using an iPad and therefore stuck with Pages
help, comment WILL be civilly acknowledged
If you are talking about translating from one language to another , the best is
Http://translate.google.com

I think this is another panicked response to Apple using Latin placeholder text.
Just going on the single viewpoint perspective shown in the question.
