Really frustrating to find out that Apple removed advanced configuration settings from Airport Utility 6.0. For example there is no SNMP option anymore... If you use (plan to use) SNMP on your Extremes or Time Capsules do not upgrade to 6.0!
you can use both... get airport utility 5.6 from the right side of http://www.apple.com/support/airport/
In Yosemite you cannot use version 5.6. I found the only way to access advanced settings via the Windows version of Airport Utility, if you have Yosemite installed.

It is much worse than that.. SNMP is not even available in the latest AE or TC no matter what version utility you run.. apple removed it.. because they prefer ignorance.
