I was wondering if somebody from Apple could answer the following query:
Is it possible or will there be an option to deploy content created on iBooks Author internally within an enterprise (i.e. not publically available on iTunes)?

As long as you don't intend to charge for the book, you are free to distribute the book to whomever you wish; on a web site, file server, or any other method that works for you. See:

Many thanks for your very helpful reply. I posted the same query in that forum, but wasn't sure if this might have applied equally in the enterprise forum given the query. This sounds very promising and can be an avenue for producing engaging corporate training material.
