how do I check voicemail without cellular data on when I am out of the country

I am travelling out of the country and whenever I check my voicemail, I am slammed with huge roaming fees even though my Data is off and I am on WiFi. Is there another way to check my VM when I am out of the country?

Nope. Voicemail is a carrier feature, thus requires a cellular connection(if you use your phone). The only other way would be to use a landline and call your number.
