I have quicken 2000 for mac on an old mac and wish to upgrade to a new laptop running snow leopard. Quicken 2006 on my new laptop runs, but will not recognize the old data qif files. What version of quicken for mac will recognize files from 2000?

My old G4 with my accounting software - Quicken 2000 - was in my car when i was moving and it was stolen and I don't have the install disk - do you have the install disk?

Were you able to open the Quicken 2000 data in Quicken 2006?

My recollection is that my Quicken Deluxe 2002 opened my old Quicken 2000 data files. Then the Q2002 data file can be opened and converted further in Quicken 2006 (PPC) or Quicken 2007 (either PPC or Intel).

While there is no Classic Mode on a MacBook Pro (running any version of OS X) and hence you cannot run the Classic application Quicken 2000, you can run more modern versions of Quicken on a Snow Leopard MacBook Pro that will indeed open a Quicken 2000 data file and update its data structure, as noted earlier in this post.
