Quicktime not working after 7.7.1 update

After I download this update I'm not able to open any Movie on quicktime MoviePlayer! Gives me the error "Movie Atom not found". If it is for Windows 7, Vista etc.. why download it for Mac, never saw a software not working after an update?! Any comments!?. I might be doing something wrong.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
