Sync Problem

When I plug my iphone into my computor a box appears " This iphone cannot be used because the apple mobile device service is not started" My apple id is correct. A while ago my sister in law tried updating her ois on my computor, but it failed, she did not logged out of my apple id. I have tried hard reset and reinstalled itunes. Any help will be appreciated.
