iTunes Connect authorization email?

I submitted the online application to upload my iBook and never received an authorization email. it isn't in my inbox nor in my spam box. how long does this typically take to receive? when i try to sign in on iTunes Connect I receive the error message "Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect." thoughts?

I am having this EXACT same problem. I have been put through the ringer! I've been on and off the phone with customer service, emailed back and forth with various departments. I evened emailed itunesconnect@apple.com and they can't help me. Really?! How can the people at iTunes Connect NOT re-send the authentication email? I have been waiting since the day iBook Author came out. I'm a teacher and I created a new student handbook that is intereactive with videos and hyperlinks for parents and students throughout, yet I'm at a stand still because NOBODY from apple has answers. It's getting ridiculous. I've also emailed ibookstore@apple.com, ibookstore_signup@apple.com, ebookquery@apple.com, itunesmarketing@apple.com, (all of whome I was instructed by itunesconnect@apple.com) and I'm awaiting their reply. Have you done anything further?

well I finally figured out a work around. I set up another email account, created a new iTunes account, and filled out the form once again. this time I used my wife's name and a different credit card. I tried to minimize anything that it would connect to the previous application. well...it worked! and I got the authorization email within two minutes. I am working on the book now. hope that helps...

I also have signed up to create a Free Books Account just about 24 hours ago now and have yet to receive the authorization email. I would create a new Apple ID, but the one I have is linked to too many devices, etc., it would take more time than it's worth. From the looks of it, my assumption is there're still no solutions found for this issue other than creating a new account/ID.

I made an application for the free iBooks publishing account on February 1st, 2012, and then... nothing.

No email, no confirmation or ticket number, no status checking link, no obvious support path... nothing.

On the basis of what others have posted about paid accounts and using a separate account application, I wonder if the "free" iBooks account application is just a honeypot ? 😕

Hello! After emailing ibookstore@apple.com, I heard back. They informed me that the autherization email was resent, yet, again, I NEVER RECEIVED IT. I know there is no way it couldn't come though. I've double and triple checked my email settings. Further, I receive emails from various Apple departments with no issues. I'm a technology teacher and integrator, I'd like to think I have a decent grasp on email security settings. Apple is really dropping the ball here. And to think all I want to do is share my education materials for FREE so students from around the world can benefit.

Well, you folks are not alone here. I'm at the 20th hour and still no email ... and like others, no clear (or even an obscure) path to force a resend of the authentication email. I have not yet tried to restart a completely new account - sounds like a management nightmare.

I received my confirmation to this forum nearly immediately - the setup for an Apple ID took several resend requests after which all four emails came in one blob about 20 minutes later.

Is everyone here on a Mac or a PC? (silly, but priorities??)

Firefox, MSIE or Safari?

I heard back from Apple saying that my EIN was incorrect, or not in their database. So I spent an hour an a half on the phone with the IRS the guy told me that it was in their database and should be active instantly. As I applied for it a month before this whole process. I also copy pasted the number and triple checked it both times, along with emailing Apple my confirmation from the IRS.

If there was a yelp review for this apple would not being doing so good from all these people complaining. Hopefully they can at least inform me thoroughly as to what is going on, rather than being left in limbo.
