Can't delete Voice Memos from iPhone

Worst case scanario is that you have to delete them manually from your iPhone, which isn't exactly a major exercise. Just bring up the list of voice memos on the iPhone, select each in turn and hit the delete key, bottom right.

Did you ever get a proper solution to this?

What I would like to happen is this:

1.) Record voice memo on iPhone.

2.) Sync to iTunes.

3.) Voice memo is automatically removed from iPhone, but retained in iTunes.

Anyone know how to make this happen seemlessly?

No, its a huge issue. Voice memos get corrupted occasionaly and mess up whole copying process.

Use one of free apps for recording then simply move files around.

Ppl even have problems deleting voice memos because corrupted ones sometimes went to other part of iphone data and cant be removed....

RE: deleting the manually from the phone. (Robin Johnson). In my case, they aren't showing up on the phone, they are not in the voice memo / recorder app and they aren't in my music playlist. They do appear when I have my phone synced to my computer and the only place they appear is under the category "On This Iphone" and I can't seem to delete them - there are tonnes of them there. The "other" files on my phone take up more than 1/2 the space and I can't seem to solve this issue.

Yes I have this same problem. It's very annoying. I have reported it as a bug to Apple and they have not fixed it. It is very tedious and monotonous to have to individually delete voice memos from my iPhone one by one every day. Apple should do better!

I have the same problem as you with the voice memos.

Do you know how to remove them from iPhone?

The voice memos can't be found in the iPhone VoiceMemo app, but it can be seen from iTunes > On this iPhone > Voice Memos playlist. The memos are greyed out, but can be played. Also, the checkbox in iTunes > Music > Include Voice Memos is unchecked.

iPhone 5S -> iOS7, back up from iPhone 4S (the voice memos were recorded in iPhone 4S).

Before syncing to iTunes, make sure to check the "Voice Memos" music playlist checkbox.

Do not check the "Include voice memos." checkbox on the sync options.

Sync your iPhone Music.

Delete the voice memos with the "Voice Memos" app on your iPhone when you are done with them on the phone.
