Feb 2, 2012 11:40 AM in response to albert421by BTracy713,Same problem here, worked no problem on my i5 iMac, but I updated my Macbook Pro using the software update feature; machine is pretty much INOP. Apple? When are you going to take this BS update down?! I hope you have a fix for this like now! Let me guess, you are going to act like there no problem until 90 percent of the community complains right?

Feb 2, 2012 12:07 PM in response to albert421by iccaprar,Same problem for me here, on my Air 2011. Had to restore from TM (at least I did a backup before the update). After restoring to 10.7.2 and getting the combo, it worked like a charm. All apps and extensions are working without additional upgrades, so the error does not seem to be a specific extension (like Total Finder or Moom).
I am not buying the explanation to install from Combo. Most people, being used to "It Just Works", will dully upgade from the online package as advised by the System Upgrade utility, not go download things from Apple and mess around (they would be Linux users if they would like doing that...).
This was simply poor testing and it is another lesson not to jump on an update right after the release...

Feb 2, 2012 12:17 PM in response to Linc Davisby Macloe,Hi,
but if the system are not able to start slow ? it stops immediantly after crash message.
I got no influence at all to do anything!
The backup was installed, I got some connections via firewire with my iBook, just to see if it is everything on the HD. it looks perfect ;-)
But how I`m able to install a combo on this system or anything else ?
Thats my first time that I`m confuse about Apple....
If you have any idea, dont hesitate to tell me.
By the way both of my iBooks updated as usual without any problem
Ciao
Gerhard

Is it or is it not safe to update from 10.7.2 with the combo update?
