Same Question.  When I try to manually load the preference pane it tells me that It is not available at that time.  I am logged in as an Admin.

If I try to use the Zsan Admin app to create a new SAN it tells me that Xsan is not installed on the target remote computer (They are both Lion Servers running 10.7.3).

    Anyone?  Help Please!

I did briefly touchbase with the maker of my storage, and they said that they did read that Apple changed "some elements in file system," but that they were still looking into it.

In the meantime I just rolled back to 10.7.2. Which was dissappointing because I appreciated the Active Directory bug fixes in 10.7.3

If I get a better answer I'll post it here.

The Xsan prefs pane should only appear if you have an Apple Fibre Channel HBA installed. If you do have that and you're still not seeing it, you should contact AppleCare.

What kind of storage are you using? If it isn't Apple-supported storage, you could try manually loading Xsan and servermgrd on the system:

    sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.xsan.plist
    sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.servermgrd.plist
