can I upgrade os x 10.3 to 10.4?

I changed from at&t to comcast and I have had so many problems with emailing. I finally got comcast to get me to atleast be able to read my email but I can't reply to any emails. My operation system is a Mac OS X 10.3. My apple system correlates to M8951LL/A specs. I think that comcast only supports OS X 10.4 and higher, mine is a 10.3. Does anyone know if I can upgrade to a 10.4 with a computer this old?

I tried to download Lion and Tiger but both of those require 10.4 minimum. Bottom line does anyone know first if it is possible to upgrade to a 10.4 with my emac and if so how?

I appreciate anyones help....I am doing this for my mom, this is alll she has that keeps her going so I want to come thru for her...thanks again!!!

emac 900 1 ghz-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.3.x), M8951LL/A apple system

Tiger Requirements...

To use Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, your Macintosh needs:

* A PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor

* Built-in FireWire

* At least 256 MB of RAM (I recommend 1GB minimum)

* DVD drive (DVD-ROM), Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) or SuperDrive (DVD-R) for installation

* At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools (I recommend 20GB minimum)
