Which speaker?
What happened?
Will anyhting play throught the speaker?
Please explain.
working fine and then noticed I was not hearing my incoming calls.
I have checked the mute button on the side.
phone is 32 days old.
Does this occur when you are on calls?
Listening to music?
When is this occuring..
If you look on the left hand side there is a switch -if its red -flick it.
Does music play through the speaker?
Is the volume turned up?
Have you tried the basics form the manual? restart, reset, restore.
I have not restored it as we speak.
The sound plays thru the earphone, but not thru the speakers.
The speakers did come back on , but the sound was crackling.
Volume is all the way up.
This is my 4th iphone and never had this problem.
Hi!
I just have the same problem, it happened after an iTunes sync. The speakers just stopped working (both). as with your iPhone, in mine the sound plays thru the earphone or when you connect as aux device in the car, but not thru the speakers. It happens with music, games sounds and when make Facetime calls, the other side hears me, but i cannot, so the mic is working ok. The switch is not set as muted 😟 i think is a hw error with speakers.
I already restored from iTunes and still the same, I also tried the "Erase all content and Settings option" and set the device as ne, but didnt work either. I been using it just 2 months ðŸ˜
Heeeelp
The same thing just happened to me this morning, did you ever figure out how to fix it?
Like Lorenarama I have experiened a similiar issue.
I can hear when the ear phones are plugged in - but no speaker.
I tried:
The thing that doesn' t quite make sense is that this issue started immediately after we updated software to 6.1(?)
Since then we thought that 6.1.1 would do the trick, but to no avail.
Please help.
Thanks
same for me help!
Hi Friend,
The speaker is easy to break if wet, even wet for a little. My girlfriend's iPhone speaker broke with some drops of a drink.
Anyway, check if Restrictions is turned on, rebbot your idevice, be sure you have selected a pernonalized sound (ringtone) that works (change to a standard ringtone), check if "Do Not Disturb" is turned off.
Hope it helps
Had the same problem on a year old phone. Blew into the speakers and it started working a little bit, so I used some canned air and it worked better but not 100% so I went into my shop and blew it out with some 120 psi compressed air and it hasn't made a sound since. I had to buy a new iPhone.
