Hi!

I just have the same problem, it happened after an iTunes sync. The speakers just stopped working (both). as with your iPhone, in mine the sound plays thru the earphone or when you connect as aux device in the car, but not thru the speakers. It happens with music, games sounds and when make Facetime calls, the other side hears me, but i cannot, so the mic is working ok. The switch is not set as muted 😟 i think is a hw error with speakers.

I already restored from iTunes and still the same, I also tried the "Erase all content and Settings option" and set the device as ne, but didnt work either. I been using it just 2 months 😠

Heeeelp

Like Lorenarama I have experiened a similiar issue.

I can hear when the ear phones are plugged in - but no speaker.

I tried:

  1. blowing into the bottom (usb port) and the earphone hole
  2. cleaning the bottom out with a cotton swab with a light amount of alcohol
  3. hard and soft reset.

The thing that doesn' t quite make sense is that this issue started immediately after we updated software to 6.1(?)

Since then we thought that 6.1.1 would do the trick, but to no avail.

Please help.

Thanks

Hi Friend,

The speaker is easy to break if wet, even wet for a little. My girlfriend's iPhone speaker broke with some drops of a drink.

Anyway, check if Restrictions is turned on, rebbot your idevice, be sure you have selected a pernonalized sound (ringtone) that works (change to a standard ringtone), check if "Do Not Disturb" is turned off.

Hope it helps
