Mac OS X 10.7.3 not installing...

Hello all,

Since my Mid-2010 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 did not see the update for Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3, I downloaded the update through Apple Servers. However, when I went to install it, I got through the first few steps, and when it came time to choose where I wanted it installed, (Destination Select) it said... "Mac OS X Update can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for the update." I don't understand as I have had no problems updating Lion in the past... EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! I have run the Repair Disk Permissions in the Disk Utility app, however that has not helped! Does anyone have any suggestions for me?? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?? I really appreciate the help of the community! Us Apple people got to stick together! Thanks everyone!

Here is a thing to try:

Start Disk Utility

Select Your System Volume like Macintosh HD

Verify Disk Permissions

Repair Disk Permissions

Verify Disk

Repair Disk

Download the 10.7.3 Combo Client update

Install that instead of the Client update.

Have you managed to get it to install?

I have tried to install the combo update today, it hanged with "1 minute left", for 40 minutes.

I found the following lines in the log:

14.02.12 15:21:43,452 installd: PackageKit: Failed to move active dyld cache file /var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64 to /var/run: No such file or directory (2)

14.02.12 15:21:43,452 installd: PackageKit: Failed to move active dyld cache file /var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64.map to /var/run: No such file or directory (2)

So I did on the terminal:

cd /var/db/dyld

sudo mv dyld_shared_cache_x86_64 /var/run

sudo mv dyld_shared_cache_x86_64.map /var/run

And: the install continued and finished some minutes later!

Cheers,

Stefan
