Itunes match and iphone storage space?

if my music is in the "cloud" now, why does it still take up the bulk of my iphone 32gig capacity?

Because iTunes Match does not delete the music that is already on your iPhone. Based on the question, I think you'll avoid a lot of problems with Match in the future if you take a little time to read up on how iTunes Match works. Here are a couple of links that will get you started.

On the first link, be sure to watch the video at the top of the page, then read all that follows.

On this link, you'll get a brief description of what each of Apple's iTunes Match support documents covers, as well as linkes to each support document. If the link gives you an error, just hit reload.
