Q: After the latest Security Update 2012-001 Server (Snow Leopard) my old Adobe Photoshop CS 8, Dreamweaver 8, and InDesign CS programs crash when I try to open or save a file.

I have a similar issue where my Carbonite backup service no longer works after installing the security update.  My computer also crashed soon after installing the updates and restarting.  It seems to be OK now, but Carbonite is not working.  What's the deal?

Same problem here: Snow Leopard 10.6.8, after adding the latest Security Update (2012-001) Office 2004 crashes each time I try to save a document.

iMac 11,3 with 10.6.8 and CS8, refusing to Save. Dreamweaver MX2004 also refuses to save. Acrobat 9 okay.

Same here.  I use Photoshop CS Vers 8. Did security update and *poof*. Constantly crashes when I try to save and save as.

Tried completely deleting Photoshop and all related preferences and folders in the Library.  Even tried booting in safe mode.  NADA, still bonks out.  Looking to see if can uninstall update if that's even possible.

Glad (I think) I'm not the only one.

Yep, Quicken will not auto save and the auto save function in Preferences cannot be changed. With all the above comments, I'm afraid to try any other apps.  Come on, Apple, we need some help out here!

Yes, me too. After installing the latest Snow Leopard update, Microsoft Word 2004 can't save its files.

Why does this always seem to happen when I REALY need to get work done.

This is a huge problem for my whole company... That's what you get when you trust updates...

It's seem like it affect the Rosetta apps. For me the trouble is on Kodak Preps: the print dialog windows not appeared. The same about the Save As...

Any way to uninstall the update?

You could reinstall the whole system and not update it... ;-) Good luck...

I can open, but not save, save or save as PhotoShop since i installed Security Update 2012-001 (Snow Leopard).  Is not being alone in this better or worse?
