Synching direction and other settings with iPhone 4 S and iTunes?

Hi!

In old Palm's HotSync with Treo 680, Vx, etc. with computers (Windows [XP, 2000, and 98 SE) and Mac OS X 10.5.8), one could control how to synchronize like PDA/Smartphone's datas overwrite computer's datas. Is this possible to do the same with the latest/newest iTunes and Mac OS X 10.5.8?

Thank you in advance. 🙂

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 2.4 Ghz; A1260 model; 15" size.

No. The iTunes content sync is one way: Computer to Phone. The rest of the content(contacts, calendars, etc.) is bi-directional. There is one exception for contacts & calendars: on the Info pane, under Advanced, there is a provision to replace info on the phone with what's on the computer for the next sync only.

Ah thanks. Are there third parties that can do it?
