How to unlock iphone in IOS 5

A friend of mine have Iphone 4 with gevey turbo sim ( not international), he has just updated his iphone to ios 5 from frame 4.11

on the frame 4.1, he used to deal with the iphone and unlock it to use different carrier network

Anyway he can unlock the phone on the IOS 5, as the same way doesn't work and now he has not neither service nor network on the iphne (its not working at all).

P.S. He is in Egypt and try to use local carrier, like Vodafone, Mobinil or Etisalat.

To unlock the phone, you'll have to contact the provider to which the phone was originally locked to. Give them details like IMEI and serial and they will decide wether this phone can be unlocked and pass this info to Apple/iTunes.

If your friend could use different SIM cards on a locked phone, the software got probably modified and the update locked the phone again or the modified software made the phone useless due to the jailbreak.

Unauthorized modification of iOS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues

ONLY the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize unlocking it.

The Gevey SIM is illegal in every country on the planet.
