Q: 10.7.3 no wifi connection after wakeup

Since 10.7.3 update, I have to manually reconnect to my WiFi network at every Wakeup from sleep.

It WILL try to connect by itself, but it will quit trying after 6-8 seconds.

The WiFi icon in the menu bar will then remain gray until I click on it and manually choose my WiFi network.

It DOES reconnect automatically upon Restart, though.

My WiFi network comes from a third generation Time Capsule, with the most recent updates applied.

Had no such problem yesterday in 10.7.2.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3

sure... how did you reset your TC? did you use a hard reset or a soft reset? If the soft reset does not work try the hard reset... dont forget it takes a moment to write the infomation change inside the router. let me know, I am availabe.

Update worked for a few days and now it's back to normal, no wifi on waking up from sleep and sometimes it dies whilst I'm using the machine. Not impressed, going to take it back to the store and waste half a day.

I had the same problems after updated the lion 10.7.3 update early in February. Then I went back to 10.7.2 and all was fine.
Now that there is a WiFi-fix for 10.7.3 out, are the problems still there?

I installed the update a few days ago and it worked...BUT only after doing the following:

1. open network preferences
2. hit the advanced button
3. under preferred networks
a. eliminate invalid networks (I had a few....like Apple Store)
b. select: remember network this computer has joined
c. save changes

I've been trying to find the solution to this for many hours and I found something that works for me on my 2009 21.5" iMac. We have a 2008 Macbook in the house also which is not having issues so I decided to check the settings against each other. In the network preference I unchecked the Ask to join new networks field. Viola! Working for me now with no issues.

I solved changing MTU in preferences->network->wifi->advanced->hardware from automatic value 1500 to manual 1453.
