I have just started having a problem where I publish to FCP Generators, all I get is blue Background. This has only just started happening.
Any help please?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 27" 2010 iMac I5 Lion
The project can export to the events with no problems, but when published to the generators, only blue background.
same problem, i save the finished title in motion 5 then opening it in final cut pro x, results in blue title thumbnail, then FCPX crashes.
Go to
user/library/app supp/fcs/motion/presets
and delete the contents
I can't seem to find that file.
You woiuld only have it if you had installed Motion 4 before Motion 5, and you had saved at least one preset. What version of Motion are you running?

Did you have Motion 4 installed? What version of Motion 5?
No I didn't have Motion 4, Motion 5.0.2.
This only started happening after update to 5.0.2
Very odd. Did you update FCP X and Compresor as well? Also, did you create a preview movie when you published your generator? And did you actual choose to publish it or did you place it in the Generators folder manually?

I allways publish to the generators folder. I have made quite a few with no probs and I am not doing anything different to previous.
Not sure what to suggest besides trashing your preferences files (all of them for both Motion and FCP - and if that doesn't work, trash the apps and redownload them from the App store.
Thanks, I'll continue fishing. I deleted both apps yesterday,preference files, everything, redownloaded and still must be missing something.
Ok, so I deleted FCP and all related files again, reinstalled, and now it seems to be ok again. Oviously FCP problem somewhere. Don't know, but will cross my fingers.
