Feb 5, 2012 11:02 AM in response to RonyKby wifiguru,Have you tried switching back to automatic IP address, but turn your firewall on ? THere have been some folks who mentioned turning the firewall on and that get's them an automatic IP and a good connection.

Feb 5, 2012 1:58 PM in response to wifiguruby RonyK,turning the firewall on did not help. I am currently using manual IP address on 11b/g/n mixed mode without any problem.
It is not a solution for the problem of course, with automatic IP, every few minutes the wifi card try to get a new lease, although my iphone and other windows pcs are not having any problem.

Feb 6, 2012 9:06 AM in response to RonyKby wifiguru,Enable dhcp related logging by pasting this in Terminal:
sudo ipconfig setverbose 1
Now after the issue occurs a couple times, find this file :
com.apple.IPConfiguration.bootp in your /var/log folder and paste its contents here or upload it someplace and I can take a look at it to help.
Is your router configured correctly to give out DHCP leases ?

Feb 6, 2012 7:22 PM in response to billg310by ApostlePD2,some of you are totally over complicating matters here. running all of these reports and such when it is completely obvious Apple dropped the ball on this one big time.
i installed the combo update after reading reviews that it resolved the CUI problem, but now WIFI will not reconnect after waking from sleep. It must be manually reconnected. This is stupid. It's a bug. I don't know what the deal is, but if Steve Jobs were still around, somebody would be fired.

Feb 7, 2012 3:58 AM in response to billg310by i.campbell,Just tried 10.7.3 CUI on MacBook Pro, Early 2009.
No dice. No Wifi and no ethernet access. Self-assigned addresses are what I get.
Machine was fine yesterday on 10.7.2 and today it's hosed.
Note to self: check Apple forums for issues before taking Apple software updates and that's a real shame.
Half a day wasted and still no resolution.

Feb 7, 2012 8:59 AM in response to billg310by RonyK,I configured my router DHCP lease time to 1 day instead of the original configuration ( 1 minute). Everything is working great till the moment with 11b/g/n mixed mode and with WPA key.
