Finder not displaying files from a tar.gz
Hi
I downloaded the file ftp://graphics.stanford.edu/pub/3Dscanrep/bunny.tar.gz with Safari. From Finder I doubled clicked on bunny.tar.gz then bunny.tar to extract it with BOMArchiveHelper.
In Finder the extracted folder "bunny" did not contain any files, which was strange. I opened a Terminal window and running the ls command on the "bunny" folder did display all the files. So the files exist but are not being displayed in Finder.
If I created a new folder in "bunny" with mkdir from the Terminal or from Finder this did display the files in the "bunny" folder, these being the "data" and "reconstruction" folders, but did not display the files within these child folders. I needed to create a new folder or file in each folder to get Finder to display the contents.
Anyone else seen this problem? I have all the latest updates from Software Update.
Thanks
Matt
