jap, thanks for noticing this! I have had the same problem and thanks to you I was been able to solve it quickly.

SafeNet Authentication Client was causing problems indeed. I have contacted their support asking for a version compatible with Mountain Lion. As it turned out -- they have it already -- technical support has directed me to the following link: http://stat-dl.aladdin-rd.ru/dms/08e611f0432fdb6bd172d65a2135041950bbc14f/2012/1 2/02/salimpiev/safenetauthenticationclient.8.2.11.0.dmg

I have installed the suggested SAC and it runs on my system fine.

you gonna laugh at me, but I only noticed this problem when bought a new MacBook Air.

I had a 2009 MacBook White and it ran out of battery in 2 hours.

I decided I need to upgrade to Air, so I did.

What was a surprise to find out that my new Air runs out of battery in 2 hours.

I started to investigate and found SfntMonD!

I simply killed the process and had my 10 hours of battery back again.

And a completely workable MacBook white....

Hello15, looks like a temporary problem with the Aladdin's website. I have been in contact with their technical support recently, after upgrading to Mavericks. They gave me a new link to the most recent version available: http://stat-dl.aladdin-rd.ru/dms/fc89c2dfcdb75a495959d3f8988a72f7529f97cf/2013/1 2/04/salimpiev/safenetauthenticationclient.8.2.14.0.dmg.

But at the time of writing the new link did not work too. I've uploaded the dmg I have to my Google Drive, you can try getting it here.
